ABOUT US
The team work that defines CENTER began unofficially in 2002, when members of Pines Presbyterian Church started mentoring students at Sherwood Elementary School. In 2007, a neighborhood storefront was leased and became known as “The Center,” an acronym created by Mark Trotter standing for Community Enhancement Networking Through Evangelical Resources. What started as a local outreach has grown into an independent organization building upon over 24 years of dedicated service in the West Houston area.
CENTER Ministries is an non-profit organization with no paid staff. Our leadership is comprised of a Board of Directors that includes the Senior Pastor of Pines Presbyterian Church, Reverend Doctor Wayne C. Eberly, alongside professionals like Mark Trotter and Jeffrey Heath, the CFO of Mac Haik Automotive Group. Our team consists of volunteers from diverse educational and vocational backgrounds who provide supervision, academic assistance, and counseling to our youth.
We are committed to providing the most rewarding experience possible for the youth we serve. This commitment is reflected in our investment in spiritual and educational training for our volunteers. We ensure that all adults interacting with our youth undergo essential training to maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment.
